Wind gongs are the ultimate effects gongs, as, used properly, they will add a definte presence to any musical arrangement.
Unlike orchestral gongs, wind gongs aren't tuned to a specfic tone and therefore offer nothing but trashiness to the proceedings - not ideal for every application but when used saringly the audience will know they've been gonged!
