Artists
eDRUM, and all the companies we represent, have no grand illusions – we all know that we're never going to be the biggest percussion companies in the world. We're quite happy about this, as it means less stress and we can do what we want to do without having to clear it with boards of directors and shareholders. One of the things that we want to be able to do is support drummers to excel at what they do.
Since we don't have a marketing budget anywhere near any of the major drum companies, we can't throw lots of free gear at musicians and supply them with 100s of pairs of sticks to give away to fans. Instead, in collaboration with the brands we support, we seek out a few drummers who impress us and can further our brands and give them what support we can. Admittedly, this pales into insignificance compared to what big companies can offer, but we offer a personal service tailored to individual needs.
Our current roster includes:
Mike Ellis
See below...
Axis Percussion and Highwood
Since he has being playing in earnest since the early 80s, it is almost easier to list who Mike hasn't played with. To date, he has played, either as a member or sessions artist, with Arthur Kadmon, Aragorn, The Distractions, George Clinton, Simply Red, PJ Proby, Wilko Johnson, Jah Wobble, Charles Hayward, Pete Doherty, Eddie and the Hot Rods, Lauren Harris, Sex Gang Children, On The Run, No Leader, The Fat Boy 5, The Coming, Linchpin, Meggido, Snake Eyes, Avoidance of Doubt, The Rascals, Glorious, Bridgefield, Sean Webster, In Shadow, Planet of Women, Alike Cooper and Binge Drinking. Besides being an accomplished drummer, Mike is also an excellent drum tech and has worked for the UK's "Young Drummer of the Year Show", Drummer Live, Rhythm Course, Club Antichrist and Dark Elf Event Services and has tech'd for Thomas Lang, Mitch Mitchell, Billy Cobham, Craig Blundell, Benny Greb, Jerry Brown, Geoff Dugmore, Tim Brown, Chuck Sabo, Damon Wilson, James Hester, Chris Bell and Rob Stroud. He's a busy man but can be contacted at mike@mike-ellis.co.uk
