About Us
The ethos behind eDRUM is simple – to bring top quality North American drum products to the UK and Europe at prices that are affordable and reflect the quality of the gear.
This doesn't mean that we sell cheap, inferior quality imports, simply that our business model ensures that you, the customer, can get our products at a sensible price without the palaver of dealing with transatlantic shipping, import duty and VAT payments. To make things even more straightforward we try and do things a little different and try and make our business as transparent as possible.
For instance, we don't believe in RRPs, as these just falsely inflate prices to trick customers into thinking that they are getting a better bargain. Instead, we advertise in real world prices (RWP). The RWP is what our products cost to you – not a starting point for negotiation, not a figure for us to refer to to try and talk you into a purchase and definitely not a figure plucked out of the air. We do our best to keep RWPs as low as possible and, if you are a UK-based customer, it will include delivery. If you would like to know more about our pricing policies, please refer to our FAQ section.
Since we started in 2003, eDRUM has dealt with a small number of exclusive North American products. This will continue to be the main focus of our business but we are also pleased to be able to announce our first UK line – Highwood drums. Like all the brands we deal with, Highwood make high quality drumming products that we are proud to be involved with. To find out more about all our lines, please go to our products section.
Most importantly, eDRUM was never formed just to make money. Obviously this is our livelihood but neither of us would be in this if we didn't enjoy it and believe in the brands we deal with. We are proud that eDRUM is a flexible and dynamic company and hope that we can maintain the highest customer service as the musical instrument market continues to change. We're not so precious about our company that we won't listen to what the public say, so if you have a comment or suggestion about the way we do business, please contact us – and don't feel that you have to spare our feelings, as we all only learn from making mistakes.
All the best,
Richard & Simon
eDRUM founders and directors
